Last session of Experimental Printmaking was led by Lorna Johnstone, who taught the class how to create these beautiful etchings using take away lids and make shift etching tools suchs as scewers, nails and scalpels.
I am excited to announce that from January 2018, Look and Draw will be expanding its program of classes and workshops to include a second venue on the other side of the city.
From 2018 some classes will run from Abbeymount Studios in Abbeyhill.
On Saturday afternoons throughout February Cat Bruce will be hosting another animation workshop in this new space. Students will create simple hand-drawn animation loops using historical animation techniques. More Info
Jenna Corcoran‘s ‘Realistic Contemporary Drawing’, where students can learn how to ‘Draw just like that’, has been a sell out this term. She will be running a slightly longer 3 hour session on Wednesday afternoons starting 31 January. More Info

All the objects were out of the cupboard last night…. but this time not to draw from but rather to use the different textures and surfaces to make monotypes. A cheesegrater, the clutch from a car, bubble wrap, old fuses, a lemon squeezer and an old slide projector are just a few of the objects used to create these amazing and varied prints.
